Over the years I have had my share (probably way too many) of hamburgers. I’ve had burgers with egg on them, burgers with BBQ sauce, burgers with a doughnut as the bun, Bison burgers, Deer burgers, etc… I recently had a $28 burger at a fancy hotel chain in California. I have eaten burgers in several well known big name chains as well as a lot of the fast food chains. These companies often spend a ton of money on their advertising and marketing to get you to try them. While some are better than others, and there is always an exception, many of these are just marginal. Just because a burger provider is large, it doesn’t mean they provide a quality burger.
Unfortunately, the phone industry is often the same way. There are several “Big Name” Hosted VOIP Providers out there that spend a lot of money on Marketing and Advertising but fall short when it comes to the quality of their product and even worse, their ongoing service. We have converted our share of them over to HostMyCalls because we have been doing Hosted Voice since 2001. We don’t spend a ton of money on Marketing & Advertising, but instead focus on our Implementations and Customer Service. Occasionally we hear “we haven’t heard of you”, but the best burgers I have ever eaten are at some of the smaller local diners and hole in the wall restaurants.
